Written by Hilary Paterson-Jones, Admin, Save Penrhos Campaign
We recently received the judge’s decision regarding the Judicial Review connected to the Save Penrhos Campaign. Unfortunately, the ruling was not in our favour. However, after consultations with our legal team, we believe there are substantial grounds for an appeal. We have decided to escalate the matter to the Appeals Court, which will likely involve a different panel of judges.
We want to emphasise the importance of unity and the potential consequences of this new legal challenge. This provides us with an opportunity to return to court and advocate for Penrhos once again. With the possibility of presenting additional grounds, our focus will now shift toward assembling robust evidence and legal precedents to strengthen our case.
From the beginning of our campaign, we have remained resolute in our commitment and are sincerely grateful for your ongoing support. Although this next phase will incur additional costs, we are determined to pursue this cause to its conclusion.
To aid in our efforts, we have launched a new crowdfunding page on JustGiving. Additionally, we are excited to announce that KC Jones, a talented musician, will be holding a concert at The Ucheldre Centre in Holyhead on the evening of November 30th at 7 pm, to benefit the Save Penrhos initiative.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our cause.
Best regards,
Hilary Paterson-Jones
