Campaign for National Parks – National Marine Parks Lead Event
Mike Smith and Elizabeth Barlow attended an event at Holywell Golf Club on 19th March – Ffion Mitchell-Langford discussed what National Marine Parks are, currently relevant particularly for NE Wales and the proposed new NP, and responses to consultation by the NRW Designated Landscapes team to consider re-inclusion of Evaluation Area 1 EA1 Talacre and Gronant Dunes. You mentioned that Ffion Mitchell-Langford was writing a report.  This would also be of interest throughout Wales, with Marine Parks in Pembrokeshire.
The ‘Red Route’ of the A55 / A494 / A548
Summary of many Clwyd Branch meeting and online discussions over some years – in the CPRW February 2023 national Newsletter.
 
Red Route for the Deeside Corridor’ of the A55 / A494 / A548 – the proposal of which had long been opposed by the Clwyd Branch and who were also signatories to a group led by North Wales Wildlife Trust; the route would have had sections across farmland, ancient woodland and have a detrimental effect on wildlife.
Bob Gaffey, CPRW Clwyd Branch Chair was the Branch signatory to the proposal in mid 2020.
The current consultation of the new proposal is until 14th April 2025, details in link to NWWT-
