About Us

Since 1928, CPRW has been advocating on behalf of rural Wales.

We’re committed and passionate about safeguarding our countryside for the benefit of our communities, our biodiversity, our rivers, our landscapes, our language and culture and our visitors.

We care about our countryside and want people to enjoy and discover the beauty and bounty of our countryside, and our local members work hard to make this happen.

Cerys Matthews, musician, author and broadcaster is CPRW’s new President. Cerys is passionate about the Welsh countryside and our values, vision and cause.

Save Penrhos Ynys Môn

A 200-acre coastal park, ancient woodland and UNESCO World Heritage Site on Anglesey/Ynys Môn is under threat of 500 cabin holiday park development.

Save our Rivers

We’ve joined forces with Soil Association in calling on the UK Governments to stop killing our rivers! Will you help by signing the petition?

Stop Intensive Poultry Units

We’re calling for Government to ban new intensive poultry units, support farmers to exit this damaging industry, and take action to reduce chicken consumption to more sustainable levels.

Discover the Welsh Countryside

With 13 CPRW branches across Wales, there’s bound to be something exciting in your area to get involved with. Our branches organise local events, campaign against insensitive planning, and fundraise for our wider work. Join your closest branch to support your local community and defend your unique landscapes.
