Help stop the proposed Gaerwen Windfarm development!

The proposed windfarm is on the hill overlooking Llandrillo. It is now for 7 turbines (5x180m and 2x200m heigh), with an installed capacity of (up to) 59MW.

The developers are RWE, and the latest timetable is that they will submit their planning application to PEDW later this year; get a decision in 2025; and be in operation by 2027.

RWE have announced a public consultation between 10th July – 4th September.

Details of consultation events are below:

  • Thursday 18th July 4-8pm Cynwyd Village School
  • Friday 19th  July 3-7pm  Llandderfel Village Hall
  • Sat 17th August 10am-2pm Llandrillo ‘The Centre’

You will know that there is fierce and well organised opposition to this windfarm and CPRW is supporting the fight.

You will also be able to read the Draft Environmental Statement via RWE websites at rwe.com/gaerwen.

We hope you will be able to stand by us and help us stop this development on our beautiful Welsh hills.
