The Clwyd Branch have successfully secured funding from the AONB Sustainable Development Fund to create a stronger voice across the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley and all areas of the three counties of Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.

The overarching aim of the funding is to increase awareness and offering of CPRW Clwyd Branch, in turn aiming to:

  • Reach new audiences
  • Increase membership
  • Develop new partnerships and nurture existing partnerships
  • Establish an events plan
  • Raise the profile of the Rural Wales Awards

In order to deliver on the aims and objectives of the funding requirements, the campaign will focus on the following three areas; communications, events and partnerships.

The campaign delivery board is made up of Carys Matthews, CPRW National Operations Manager and Clwyd Branch Committee members Mike Skuse Branch President, Bob Gaffey Branch Chair and Elizabeth Barlow Branch secretary. The Clwyd Branch have recruited Caroline Conway who will be the Project Lead on the activity from June 2023 for 12 months.
