We support Newport and Valleys Branch who are now leading CPRW’s objection to the proposal for a new length of M4 across the unique heritage and rich ecological area of the Gwent Level, affecting five SSSIs. They are working on this with the environmental campaign CALM, set up some years ago to save the Levels.

Please join us in telling the Minister and/or your AM that there are alternatives to this destructive and enormously expensive White Elephant, and that the much discussed South Wales Metro system would in any case relieve the existing M4.

Usk Show. We have a stand at this important local event

The Landmark Trust restoration team at Llwyn Celyn will once again host the annual Llanthony and District Hedging and Walling competition on Saturday 29th October.

This is a great local event and keeps these vital skills and traditions alive – so do come along and enjoy the company. The competitors begin their work around 9.30 and refreshments are served all day.

There is plenty of shelter if the weather is inclement, but we advise bringing waterproofs and boots.
Principal sponsors are Monmouthshire CPRW and the Brecon Beacons National Park.
